- In 1909, the Gators finished the year with a perfect 5-0 record. They only managed 79 points for the entire year, but their defense didn’t surrender a single point. This tied them for 1st in the entire state along with 8 other teams.
- In 1924, the Gators defeated Buffalo Canisius (NY) 20-0, on their way to an undefeated 10-0 season. Also in that year, they defeated Bradford and Olean, among others. They totaled 367 points for the year, for an average of 36.7 points per game. This ranked them 8th in the state for the year. Their defense only gave up 52 points, for an average of 5.2 points per game. Their point differential of 31.5 points per game ranked them 11th in the state.
- The 1930 Gators finished with a record of 7-2, losing only to Johnsonburg and Sheffield. They totaled 278 points for the year, averaging 30.9 points per game, which ranked them 8th in the state. Their defense only gave up 71 points the entire year, averaging 7.9 points per game. Their point differential of 23 points per game, ranked them 19th in the state.
- The 1943 Gators managed a respectable 4-2 record, losing only to Coudersport and Otto-Eldred. Their defense gave up only 25 points the entire year, averaging 4.2 per contest. This ranked them 49th in the state for the year.
- The 1945 Gators finished the year 7-0 defeating Cameron County once, and Coudersport, Otto-Eldred, and Smethport all twice. They totaled 166 points per game, averaging 23.7 points per contest. This ranked them 34th in the state for the year. Their defense proved to be stellar giving up only 26 points for the entire year, averaging 3.7 points per game. This ranked them 33rd in the state for the year. Their point differential was 20 points per game, which ranked them 23rd in the state.
- The 1953 Gators finished the year 8-0-1, winning all of their games except one in which they tied the Smethport Hubbers 6-6. That year they totaled 288 points, good for a 32 point average, which ranked them 10th in the state. Their defense gave up only 77 points for the year, averaging 8.6 a game. Their point differential was 23.4 points per game, which ranked them 12th in the state.
- The 1967 team had the first of back-to-back undefeated seasons. They were 7th in the state in scoring, averaging 36.6 points a game. They were 55th in the state that year in points against, only giving up 7.8 points a game. That gave them a point differential which ranked them 9th in the state, averaging a 28.8 point difference.
- The 1968 Gators were also 9-0, and were 10th overall in the state in scoring. They totaled 313 points for the year, which gave them an average of 34.8 points per game. Their defense was equally as good, only giving up 50 points on the entire year. That averaged out to 5.6 points given up per game. Their point differential of 29.2 also ranked them 7th in the state.
- The 1978 Gators finished 8-1 on the year, losing only to Bolivar (NY) 7-0. They ranked 2nd in the state in scoring per game. They totaled 297 points on the year, good for an average of 33 points per contest. Their defense was stellar as well, giving up only 45 points the entire year, which averaged out to 5 points per game. This ranked them 19th in the state for that year. Their point differential was 28 points per game, and ranked them 2nd overall in the state.
- The 1980 Gators finished 8-0-1, winning all of their games except one in which they tied the Coudersport Falcons 0-0. They averaged 21.6 points per game for the year, but their defense proved to be even better as they only gave up 31 points the whole year. That averaged out to 3.4 points per game, and ranked them 4th in the state.
- The 1986 Gators finished 10-0, and won the Allegheny Mountain League Title defeating Johnsonburg 23-14. They totaled 298 points on the year, for an average of 29.8 per game. This ranked them 8th in the state. Their defense gave up a total of 28 points, averaging 2.8 per game. This ranked them 3rd in the state. Their point differential of 27 points per contest, ranked them 2nd in the state.
- The 1987 Gators finished the year at 8-2. They competed in the Allegheny Mountain League Title Game for the 2nd consecutive year, battling the Johnsonburg Rams again. They lost this time around, being narrowly defeated 21-20. The '87 team finished the year with 235 total points, good for a 23.5 points per game average. This ranked them 71st in the state for scoring. Their defense only gave up 74 points for the year, good for an average of 7.4 points per game. This ranked them 54th overall in the state. Their points differential of 16.1 points per game was good for 45th in the state.
- The 1988 Gators finished 10-1, and won the Allegheny Mountain League Title defeating Ridgway 19-14. They eventually lost in the District Championship to East Brady 14-12. The ’88 team amassed 312 points for the year, averaging 28.4 points per game. This ranked them 21st in the state. Their defense gave up a total of 87 points for the year, for an average of 7.9 per game. This ranked them 55th in the state. Their point differential was 20.5 per game, and ranked them 19th in the state.
- From 1985 through the 1988 season, the Port Allegany Gators had perhaps their best stretch ever. Their overall record during those four seasons was 36-4. They won 2 Allegheny Mountain League Championships, and played for a 3rd, in which they were beaten by the Johnsonburg Rams 21-20. Over that stretch, their offense proved to be potent, averaging 25.82 points per game. Their defense proved to be equally as dominant, averaging 6.32 points per game. That is less than a touchdown a game over a 4 year stretch.
- The 1996 finished up the season 7-3, in a year which seemed to be a statistical anomaly. They only scored 100 points on the year, for an average of 10 points per contest. Their defense gave up only 96 points per game, for an average of 9.6. Their defense actually ranked 44th in the state. They had many close wins on the year including a 7-6 win over Coudersport, a 16-13 win over Elk County Christian, a 10-6 win over Kane, as well as a 12-9 win over Johnsonburg. They made the district playoffs that year losing to Redbank Valley 7-0.
- Smethport had a winning streak of 11 games over the Gators throughout the 1990’s until the 2000 Gator team defeated them in a Homecoming Game 34-22. The Gators went on to play in the Allegheny Mountain League Championship Game that year, ultimately losing to Curwensville 33-21. The Gators currently hold an 8 game winning streak over the Hubbers.
- The 2003 Gators finished 10-2 on the year, and played for the District Championship ultimately losing to Clarion-Limestone 20-8. The Gators finished the regular season 8-1 that year, losing only to Coudersport 21-14. They got their revenge, as they played at CARP field defeating Coudersport in the first round of the playoffs 10-9 on a last minute field goal by Trevor Sena.
- The Gators hold a 58-38-7 advantage over their rival Smethport. They are currently on an 8 game winning streak through the 2009 season. Smethport ruled the 1990’s as they rolled off 11 straight victories against the Gators.
- Since the District Playoff System was adopted in 1987, the Gators have played for a District Title twice. In 1988, they were narrowly defeated by East Brady 14-12. In 2003 they returned to the District Championship, losing to Clarion-Limestone 20-8.
- The first Allegheny Mountain League Championship Game was held in 1986. The Gators won the first ever AML Title by defeating Johnsonburg 23-14. In 1987, they had a rematch against the Rams in the Title Game. Johnsonburg came out on top this time, defeating the Gators 21-20. The following year in 1988, The Port Allegany Gators played for the AML Title again, this time defeating the Ridgway Elkers 19-14. It would be 12 years before the Gators again played for the AML Title. The 2000 Gators finished up the regular season 6-2 and played the Curwensville Golden Tide for the Championship. It was a hard-fought contest ultimately won by the Tide 33-21.
- In the 2003 season, Senior Claude Haskins was second in the district in rushing. He amassed 1,549 yards on 264 carries. The yardage is a Gator single-season record, eclipsing Barry Bova’s previous record. Haskins had 17 rushing touchdowns as well as 2 receiving touchdowns on the year, helping to lead his team to a 10-2 record and play for the District Championship which they lost to Clarion-Limestone 20-8.
- 2006 PAHS graduate Willie Bova capped off a stellar career at Thiel College, finishing up his 2009 season with many of the schools records. He eclipsed the marks for single-game completions and passing yards, and also became the schools record holder in career passing yards and total offense.
- In the 2009 season, Freshman Quarterback Matt Bodamer led the district in QB Rating. He totaled a rating of 122.01 which led all signal callers. He finished the season with 1,239 passing yards, 14 touchdowns, and 4 interceptions.
